wine label
this project changes the visual identity of Barefoot Merlot through an expressive brushstroke that anchors the entire composition. the bold black scribble at the heart of the label is a direct nod to the brand's origin: it traces the trajectory of feet pressing grapes, transforming a piece of brand history into a contemporary visual mark. at the same time, the line falls downward across the label, evoking the natural motion of wine being poured, connecting the brand to the experience of the product itself. the surrounding layout takes an editorial approach, with generous white space, restrained typography, and clean dividing lines, that enhances the look. the deep blue of the word "merlot" provides a point of recognition, hinting at the original design while giving it a new direction. together, these elements set the label apart from its competitors, replacing the conventions of traditional wine packaging with something more confident and expressive.
